Orlando Food Not Bombs is one of many independent collectives that operates under the conviction that food is a right, not a privilege. We recover food that would have been discarded to prepare nutritious, vegan meals that we share with students, activists, the working poor, the homeless and anyone else who could use a meal. We do so in solidarity with our neighbors and in protest of poverty, war, and the criminalization of homelessness.
After a long and controversial fight with the city, Orlando Food Not Bombs now shares food at the steps of City Hall every Monday at 10:00 am and Wednesday at 5:30 pm. For information on how to get involved, contact us here or through our Facebook page.
